Stop Striving

By Lisa Dishman

I see myself on a raft on a river with a lush river bank of nature. Surrendered to God. Enjoy it. Stop striving. I’ll wash up on a river bank from time to time and be reunited with others who were also floating along. Or I’ll reach a slow patch occasionally and chat to others. But the river goes on. Maybe there is fruit on an over hanging branch I grab. May be I drink from the clear water. It all leads to the eternal city in the presence of God, whatever that means to you. If I serve it should flow naturally out of me. Opportunity will come and it will be almost without stress because it’s a natural flow.
